little red theatre travels with lots of fun stuff! little red theatre shows celebrate life in the senses with great sound, colourful and original sets and costumes and unusual lighting designs. Depending on the show you are buying, you may be seeing dancers, shadow puppets, rod puppets, slide projections, smoke machines and much more. In order to perform at your school or community event, a large stage or gymnasium is needed. We bring our own lighting and sound system with us as well as our sets, costumes, props and actors. To run our lighting system we need to have knowledge of the breaker system in your facility and someone there who can advise us as to the appropriate load in area. Because we are carrying lots of stuff in our van, we require the closest loading access to the actual performance space. The troupe will arrive at your facility approximately an hour and half before show time for community events and one hour in advance for schools. For stage shows in a seated auditorium we recommend no more than 400 people in the audience for one performance. If you are using a gym floor we suggest you limit it to 275 people per show. Our fees are unusually reasonable for such an elaborate show. In the mega city of Toronto we charge a flat fee to schools of $525 and arts organizations of $700 (No GST). If you are outside of this area, our prices are negotiable depending on the distance from Metro Toronto, overnight accommodations if necessary and the number of shows at your facility. Block bookings are helpful in reducing our travelling costs. Please check the show page for the running dates of each of our shows as they are available only at specific times in the year.
